of bugs and mugs

Urghhhhhhhhhhhhh. Found this monster under my computer table. Was just about to nicely tuck my legs when I noticed something green and huge that was not quite right with the white floor. Good thing it wasn't moving much and I was able to put a plastic container over it. The vitagen bottle is there to show how huge that thing was. It's bigger than the diameter of the vitagen bottle by the way. Brrrrrr. Anyway I slid a piece of paper underneath the whole container and released the bugger out of the window. :P

(Note : Method works well with beetles too. Just remember to shake the bottle vigorously first, or the beetle might just fly back into the room.)

Now I have 2 happy mugs to use :D The one on the right is from Starbucks, it was designed for CNY '08 and my ex-colleague brought it to the office and at first glance, I knew.. I HAD TO HAVE IT. *ravenous stare* haha

So after work, I trooped to the nearest Starbucks I could find, and lo and behold, it wasn't there! ( I think it's quite obvious that I don't frequent coffee cafes at all...) I made/ begged / asked (ok if you want me to be diplomatic about it) the assistant to help me find out which other outlets had it and finally found it at Eastpoint :D Was prepared to pay a gazillion dollars for it as SB's quite notorious for their overpriced mugs but was pleasantly surprised that it was only $13. Hehe...

The one on the left was ordered from the US and fell head over heels for its unique design. Cost me quite a bit more than the mousey cup tho :S

UPDATE on the one day that I forget to draw my curtains at night (my room faces a park), a gigantic - ok I'm exaggerating - MOTH decides to pop by for a visit. Eeyahhh!!!!!! Y do insects love my room so much?!
