tis been a pretty long while since i've posted, and it's been great fun with mr teo since i got back..
i'll put up some pictures in later posts or update here..
it's 3.19AM in the morning and i have no idea why i cant get to sleep..

so the internet decided to work and i is a happie girl.

my stupid clothes are still unpacked because i realise that i still have shitloads of clothes in my closet. i suppose i have to do the inevitable and throw out / sell to karang guni / salvation army / etc. to make way for more stuff.
just hope the pack-rat instinct in me wouldnt give way and allocate loads of clothes under the category "house-clothes", which i wouldnt even wear since i have a comfortable set of clothes under the category "pajamas".

boo. and i have to throw away my models.. well i cant be bothered about them. haha. except for my very first model.. dont know whether to throw away or not!! :X

and throw away all those old secondary / primary (yes primary!!!) school books.
i expect a large colony of silverfish. yum yum..
ugh ugh ugh. i hate packing.
but it's rather thrilling to see loads of rubbish accumulating.
i just hate the physical nature and perhaps the sentimental part as well.. *sobz*
and i'd love packing ALONE *ahem* because i'd get real huffy and puffy and agitated rather easily.

been spending bit by bit since i got back..
didnt know it accumulated like anything and got a nasty shock when i checked my bank account again after a few days.
bleh.. thank God for the sep award.. whew!! but i havent checked whether it's been banked in yet.. :X
will be selling my stuff online after all the packing.. i have a list of stuff to sell already.. heehee..

- the notebook ( crazily romantic film)
- the curse of the golden flower ( i think it would have been better without mr. chou. but he was a rather good laugh and i hate fight scenes so scary!!!!!)

- tried watching "before sunrise" <- mr teo and i nearly fell asleep 15mins into the movie.. zzzz
- after sunset - will have to wait ehhh..

books read to date:~
- happy porker and the half-blunt prince. hahahaha. well u know the title.
- tried the rule of 4. lost me within 10 pages.

chalet with the dive people at pasir ris tmr.. heehee and mr teo is on half day leave~~
pretty fun watching cartoons on cable.. gummibears, my little pony, i.m. weasel, cow and chicken, dexter's lab. haha.. the last few are rather brainless. but what the heck.. and no, i dont have a list of the timings they're shown on cable. i channel surf most of the time..

oh!!! and i visited vivocity..it's rather huge, a refreshing change from the teeny tiny malls in sg. and more brands available.. yay!! of course if cant be compared to those in hk. but back to the topic.. vivo's so confusing!!! it's a frickin' maze!! sure the architecture on the outside is different, though i havent really looked at it in the daytime.. but with regards to the shopping experience, i must say, it's rather dizzyfying.. puke puke.

i digress, but tangs in vivo has AMAZING changing rooms. the lingerie section.
i gotta take pics in there sometime soon. hehe. woooo!!! it's the new hangout place!! haha.. just kidding..

so more updates on vivo after i well.. of course after i have more info about it.

socialising 101

had a site study today *finally* for the horribly competitve course..
well. i just managed to break the ice for some of the students who i thought were incredibly haughty..

and they were really really friendly!! well i guess the tutor had a part in making us sooo tense..
well i got to know some masters 1 students.. echo, man, clement and asoh :P
haha they're really nice people.. just that i got a different impression cos...
1. i never spoke to them on the first day
2. they never smiled..

so that's a good start.. :) i was incredibly blur at first.. cos i was to figure out the direction of the wind. and it's always confusing cos it's either where the wind is blowing TO.. or where the wind is blowing FROM. so yah. i think i seemed rather stupid at first.
but i had a WEAPON.

a COMPASS.. hehehehehehehehehehe..
so instead of thinking where the wind is coming from by looking at the map.. i had the easy way out.. and i think echo was rather thankful for that..

so there i was holding a piece of tissue.. looking at the general direction of the wind.. hahahaah.. but who cares if everyone was looking at us.. :P

so anyways.. that was that.. and oh!!!! mr. very-nice tutor aka. Prof. Edward Ng treated us to tea!!! wow!!!!!! isnt that cool or what. :P

so after all the site study.. i headed down to tst as mentioned in the previous post..
headed down to lesportsac.. and got myself this..

Ramblings of the other half.

Sorry for the lack of updates but it is that i am so busy with dive club stuff and church stuff heheh and school stuff but it is no excuse i know. anyway think i will update on the different "stuffs" one by one.

School Stuff
Basically school has been alot of shit work cos the readings are sky high but at least i know how to go straight for the jugular instead of waffling abt reading nonsense. But when an occasional interesting case comes along heheh i jus get tempted to read the nonsense. Got this UK case of R v. Brown where a group of S and M dudes got prosecuted. The things they do are unimaginable, think fishhooks through the male organ eeks. Then there is another case called Collins where this English drunk bloke decided to climb up a ladder and peek through the window of a house. Then this gurl inside thought that it was her bf and beckoned him in and then they made out. Halfway the gurl cried rape when she realised it was not her bf. Then wah lah guy gets done for rape. So the difficult issue was what is CONSENT? hehehe is it an "agreement", a thing or a function? Tutor says it is a function to enable someone to forgo or delegate certain rights but better not bother moomoo with such tedious details now.

Dive Stuff.
Yeah gng diving this weekend but the thought of warning people of jellyfishes jus ain't good. And i have bought a big bottle of sin sin vinegar jus in case people get stung, so if i run out of sin sin vinegar i would use NOrman pee pee. heheh. Poor Boon kiat i forsee him getting stung all over. Imagine DAvid got stung on his lips wah liew must be a lot of jelly fish. Anyway jus finished packing equipment yesterday and i think it is much better than last time already. At least now with a run in change over method, everyone gets to spread out the work load and gone are the days where me moomoo and beng bitch at each other but those days were fun. So anyway now i made it a requirement for every comm member that is gng for the trip to be there for the pool lesson at least it would foster some sense of unity before we go up for the trip. Now hopefully that george does not screw my trip up cos it is the first time i am trip ic heheeh. May it be a smooth virgin trip ic trip. hehehe.

Church Stuff
Yeah finally the nicest Stuff of all. Anyway really feel so blessed to be able to experience God so closely last sat. Cos i was suppose to lead praise and worship but then i barely got any idea wat to do and i did not know wat was the lesson that was gng to be taught. So i jus hum tum the bible and asked God to give me a Psalm as an inspiration and wah lah psalms 48. which says briefly that "Great is the Lord and most worthy of Praise, the City of our God the holy place, the joy of the whole earth..." Then that is one song already. and the chorus of that song goes " And Lord we want to lift your name on high. And Lord we want to Thank you for the works u've done in our lives and Lord we trust in your unfailing love. For you alone are God eternal, here on earth and heaven above." Then the next verse came Mattew 6 whereby Jesus said to Store your treasures in heaven where moth and rust cannot destroy... And where your treasure is your heart will be also." Pardon for the paraphasing cos i am writing all this off the cuff. Anyway the msg was put God's love that is in us into ACTION. That means having Compassion. Like the bible says in James that Faith without deeds is DEAD so we must put our faith into action. That is why i continually want to inspire myself to make a difference to the people around me. First stop, Edmund at least now i encouraged him to go for cell group and i have begin to see a change in him. He is reading books and newspaper more often and taking his studies more seriously. Really God does wonders and i believe He can do wonders for you dear. From you entries i can see God working in you making you more open to people around and making you a blessing to people around you too. Maybe u would feel helpless sometimes but i know he is making you a stronger person and also a more independent person. Be strong dear and continue to influence the people around you. Jus wanted to encourage you to press on and do your best.

got so much new stuff to see.. and think the feeling of carrying / having something expensive gives me a rather heady feeling.. like tadah!!! i have something to show. but then again. what good is it? :X

anyway i dont make it a point to get expensive things.
it just so happens that the thing i like is expensive.
so if i do actually get it, i'd be happy cause not only i've gotten the thing i like, but also because i managed to afford it. well. not exactly for the second point. but u get the picture.

guess it's a hk culture thing, that people get expensive things to state their position in society / make them feel confident / they just love ridiculously expensive things.
which can be so prima facie / superficial.
like some year 5 students can be so hoity toity just cause they're the most senior.
like whatever.

well on another note..
i'm really glad to be here.
not only am i learning to be independent and opening up to strangers, meeting more people, experiencing a slightly different culture...
but that CUHK is actually a better place to study architecture than HKU, contrary to what most people think!!
well hku definitely has a better reputation and stuff. but even one student (who's like the top hku aki student) recommended my studiomate to come here instead of hku.

wow. doesnt that say something.
and the general consensus is that hku students would rather come here if they had the chance.
but the thing is i dont understand why they didnt do that in the first place.

so yay that i'm here, thank God that he planned it all :)
and shinya's a really nice tutor, hardly any airs and so approachable.. unlike the other 2 tutors who are in the same team..

so i just think that maybe i can't quite understand what's happening right now or why it's happening..

the details are quite nice actually.. but it's just plain black nylon and a few nice details.. i bet they're paying 80% of the price for the brand.. eek. and the thing is that everyone has that bag!! there's not a day w/o seeing that bag on a different person.. *swoon*

i saw 2 watches that are really nice.. one a ladies watch with pearly white face and a small silver etch of the wold map on the face.very feminine... and another more manly, with a bold numbers on the face.. nice too..
haha but it's hk$2k.. like whatever. i'm not paying gazillions for the silly name. and it's not as if it's a swiss watch..

i spent like a gazillion smackeroos today

nyanyanya.. so these are my finds for the day... went to sogo at tst and miramar shopping ctr at granville road.. was really torn to get the 2 bags, since i've already gotten 2 bags just a few days ago!!! if it were cheap, then i wouldnt hesitate.. but then.. *ahem* nm... yes, that's the le coq bag that screams CHERYL!!! eheheh.. isnt it so me? :P

the other sling bag's from "ans".. when i got to shatin on the 28th, " i was like ok, i'm gg to find a bag of a5 size, top and bottom must be longer than the sides, it must have buttons diagonally at the sides, and must be greyish colour, and must look slightly roundish.. " and lo and behold, i found exactly what i described!! well.. the price not exactly so.. but sigh.. i got it anyway..

the 4 tshirts above, so cute eh!!! i thought i was dreaming.. HK$68 .. there was a price tag that said $199 followed by $68.. so i thought, buy the first at 199, second at 68.. but nooo!! there were all at 68!! no shit.. and surprisingly, i was the only one there.. hmmmm

yep.. i think norm would be drooling at the superman one.. ehhe.. sorry i couldnt find one in ur size!! in fact i think it was the only superman t left..

Leaving on a jet plane

Oh no the day is here. My dearie is gng off to the land of Honky Tonks. Although i am abit apprehensive abt letting her face the challenge of living alone in a foreign land but i am sure she will be fine as i know she would be able to adapt to the lifestyle of eating dim sum and shopping. Hehe jus joking i am sure she would have the resolve of adapting to the new lifestyle. Now i see her huffing and puffing up and down the house busy with her packing so i decide to write this entry and tell her that I AM SO PROUD OF HER!!! hehe moomoo is finally becoming a big gurl all ready to face the world. Anyway we are going to swensen's now as it is our tradition to eat ice cream before either of us goes off to anywhere.

happy birthday stories

it's my dad's birthday today.. he's 51 this year :P
went for dinner at swensens, food was pretty yuck and the menu was really really sad looking
anyways papa got into a talking mood and started telling us stories of our family, and when we were young, etc.. it was really funny how he said everything.. haha

like how he was just lying on the floor in the living room one day
and sasa as a toddler just waddles up to him, and without warning
BOOM! and slams her butt into her stomach and sits on him!
"wah! how to tahan u tell me" hohohoo.. i laughed till i nearly cried..

another time i was sulking cos my dad 'bullied' me ( he was just playing)
and sasa asked me "what happened"
"pa lor"
BAM!
she literally swung her whole arm and right smack into my dad's stomach. 0_o"
and proceeded to stare at him with an angry pose..
*guffaw*

and how, when i was a baby ( one year old or so), coming back from the babysitter's place,
her toys would lie all over the living room, and she'd gather as much toys as she could with her arms!! waaahahaha obviously not wanting me to touch them.. haha.. now who's the one who locked herself up in the master bedroom and tortured my toys!! <-- drew them with markers and sewed stupid patches on them..

how i couldnt really be weaned off the pacifier,
there was a little tear in it one day, and sasa TORE IT OFF!!!
and my mum gave the excuse "oh spoil already cannot buy another one" -_-"" i was a heartbroken little girl.. hahahaha

cos pa was a smoker in the past, and he was smoking in the kitchen one day..
think i could smell the smoke from the bedroom,
so i ran to the kitchen and SCREAMED "PA!"
hilarious man..

it's so funny the things we did when we were young..

then family stories...

Yeye (my paternal grandfather) had 2 dogs in the kampong (junction of Little Road and Joo Seng Road)
one was an Alsatian (German shepherd) and another a small fluffy white dog..
he said the dog's one of the fiercest dogs in the kampong and had to be muzzled whenever he was out.. haha
"in order to have a dog last time means that you are quite well-off" OOoOOooo
Yeye was a Magnolia ice-cream vendor who worked his way to be an ice-cream agent..by learning English from the colonialists at that time, and they kept giving him tips and stuff.. cool right.. haha.. the shop was ard Simpang Bedok.. and now it's some condo thingy..

a sad event was that my late uncle had a nasty fall while ridding the ceiling of rats and stuff..
he fell from the ceiling.. and became a little damaged after that.. had to be in and out of woodbridge and had to be on constant medication to prevent relapses.. a little piece of new old news that i never knew about.. i just remember that he liked to 'cheong' red lights whenever he fetched us back from school :)

hmm and how another uncle was into drugs and stuff, marijuana, MX, etc, haha and how pa tried marijuana and couldnt get high, so he decided not to continue with it.. :) hengggg ah.. and how his friend asked him to try heroin, but he said "you try lah, then i try" and his friend became an addict :( while pa didnt try at all :)

the boring stuff

ok i just booked my accomodation in hk for a few days at ah shan hostel in argyle street, kowloon, like super duper near the shopping spine nathan road. gonna take the airport shuttle for HK$33, and apparently it stops right outside the hostel.

S$51 / night, inclusive of free internet in the room. yippee

the next step is to figure out how to get from kowloon to shatin.. eeks.
taxi's gonna cost a bomb, unless i can getta bus / something.

decided on an epson stylus cx3700 for my printing / scanning needs. if i cant find it then i guess the canon pixma mp1500 is another alternative.

spent so much time researching on hostels the night before that i even dreamt that i was surfing the net sstill doing research! scary man.

just written a list of what to buy over there.. the thing is to decide WHEN to get it. cos i have 3free days, check into campus, another 3 freedays, check into perm. campus hostel, and i think sch starts another 2 days later. so effectively abt a week to get all my supplies.
so if i get ALL what i need in the first few days, it's gonna be a CHORE moving things here and there. sigh. we'll see.

on a sidenote, boys and girls are wired so differently. damn. u can say that's what makes it interesting / annoying. 'the female of the species is more deadly than the male' - holds true to me.. heh..

and took frickin long to get it cos some silly shop told me i had to buy an extra lens just to customise it, and referred me to the distributor, who then told me to go back to the shop and follow their directions to customise!!! *rolls eyes*

of course i didnt go back to the silly shop. and norman dear had the smarts to check an online forum.. hohoho :P
it'll be ready in a week.. yay!!!

then we went for a foot reflexology!!!!!! wah!!! first time man.. but it was goood... $26 for a 40min session at century square. though the therapist looked rather like a perv, but haha! that's prob just friendliness i guess.. :P *miao* luckily i just waxed me legs :P wahhh so shiok.. pain but shiok the asian way i guess. haha

after that it was back to my place while he studied and i surfed the net. then dinner then back to studying. then i know.

Wow as you all can see the dinner tonight was indeed a very sumptious one. The menu for today is rib-eye steak with mushroom and black pepper sauce (medium for me and medium to well done for her), Portobello mushroom grilled with cheese, tomatoes, and onions, Corn on the cob, Salad (consisting of lettuce, cranberries, almonds, figs, cashew nuts, pistachios, raisins, tomatoes, baby carrots with a zesty italian dressing. To finish it off we had a nice bottle of 2003 Wynham estate shiraz which was smooth and had a nice sweet after taste. No wonder it is a silver medal award winning wine for the Melbourne wine festival. Moreover it is from the famed hunter valley where good wines are usually produced. This dinner was to celebrate a milestone in our relationship and also act as a form of apology to moomoo for my outburst to her the night before. Actually i wanted to have dinner at black angus steakhouse at one fullerton so tat we could enjoy the fireworks after dinner. Nevertheless i thought tat a meal personally cooked by me would be more sincere and more fulfilling. Moreover, this meal is to sincerly say sorry to moomoo and hope she forgives me. I know i should have empathised with the stress she was going though regarding her exchange stuff, should have known better than to add to it. Anyway all is well again and hopefully it stays that way. Think this shall be my exclusive post and Moomoo can feel in the rest on another.

This is my first post on Moomoo's blog hehehe. Happy that we are together after so long and really appreciative of all the support that Moomoo has given me all these years and also for bearing with my nonsense for so long. So i decided to do something nice which is to whip up a nice meal for her. Although i did not cook a complete meal but then it was the best i could do with the limited time i had. Hehe today i also gave moomoo a surprise cos she said that she was feeling feverish so i pretended that i was still at home while i was actually already on the way to her house. Then at white sands i bought for her lian leong or deer's horn squashed into powder. (A TCM remedy for fever) hehe i also bought a luohan guo for myself jus for self gratification.

Bus ride to Pasir Ris =1.20
Lian yeong + Luohan guo = Under ten dollars (exact pricing only known to me) hehe
Impending taxi fare if i am too tired = $10 inclusive of midnight charge hehee
Smses = few cents here and there
