Confirmation

Tralalala~
Saturday was my Confirmation Day, where the Assistant Bishop of Singapore, The Right Revd Rennis Ponniah (phew! it took me a long while to google his name out! ;P) was there to carry out the service.

Anyway.. Confirmation is "
...also an Anglican rite where baptised Christians who are 14 years and older and admitted as communicant members (regularly receiving Holy Communion) of the Anglican Church." Basically my name will be registered in the Anglican Church's records, and submitted to the Bishop of Cantebury, which I suppose is the most senior Anglican Bishop in the world.

So there I was.. sitting in an allocated area for people who were to receive confirmation. Revd Ponniah was there giving his sermon ( which I pretty much enjoyed because of the gentle / fatherly way he spoke) and after the sermon was the confirmation itself.

Before that, he told us that different pple have different reactions to the prayer. You would speak in tongue, feel your bones healing, have a sour taste in your mouth (if u were a smoker and you would be released from the habit of smoking), fall to the ground, etc.

So we were all lined up in front of stage, while the Asst. Bishop lay hands on our foreheads and prayed individually to each of us. As there were loads of us that day, I had to wait pretty long for my turn. Ard 20 mins later, it was my turn!

Yippee~ so excited and nervous and my hands were ice cold. And I was quite concerned whether I would fall to the ground ( because of embarrasment I guess :( )But Rev'd Ponniah held my hands (his were sooo warm) and another on my forehead and started praying. I can't remember what he said exactly, but I distinctly remembered him saying "Lord fill this cup that thirsts for You..." Well I didnt quite know that I was a "thirsty cup" till he said it! ;P

So anyhow, he finished the prayer in minutes and I just stood there, thanking the Lord for today and everything. And then IT happened.

My eyes started blinking in super rapid motion (kinda reminds me of the Matrix) and soon after, my tongue started moving by itself. AGAIN! :D Wheeee~

So I just started professing in tongue ( again I have no idea what I was saying / thinking) and a while later, my tongue gradually slowed down and I felt that it was ok for me to return to my seat already.

So I turned, and N was there with a big smile on his face. :D
Heehee.

Ok.. that sums up another BIG event / chapter in my life. Hope this post will somehow make your day. taaa!!~
