loof poof

went to loof with a few friends last night.. or rather yesterday evening at 7pm. haha who the hell goes pubbing at 7?!
anyway since fri nights are bizzy nights for such places, we had to get there early.

peeps there were lavinia, ju, zizi, peiyun, guoyi and kelly came for a while, juliana came late and tingting and ben dua-ed!!

it's a rather bad place to chill out. namely, the drinks are BAD. their asahi beer was watered down (since it came in a glass), my "miss behiving" was a terrible chinese medicine concoction and i could taste all the mixes separately. though "steady pom pi pi" was rather forgiving on the tastebuds, and so was "madame farquhar". and practically all the drinks nearly taste like mocktails. i didnt even dare order the 'usually can't go wrong' lychee martini. n a couple of rich older peeps were mixing their own drinks. haha. go figure.

ambience was a big no-no, neither was the open-top chill-out deck that fantastic, and practically all the waiters looked so dead, bored and dreary. there were no free condiments aka peanuts and stuff like that. bah. and they screwed up our reserved seating. hooray. but luckily ju acted damn fierce and we got some seats in the end.
but haha, emerald hill no. 5 anytime please.

luckily there was bus 65 to catch back and took a cab from bedok reservoir (where zizi stays). no way am i headed to tampines mrt / interchange alone. it's damn creepy at night. ok so that's my review on loof.
