Anniversary Pt.2

Venue of our first date Bedok's LJS

C looking happy!
She says she likes this pic
Our meal at Toast by Marmalade
Wild Mushroom Soup
Smoked Turkey Wrap with Cranberry sauce

Tofu Salad and Chicken Caesar

6 years of being together, 6 years of pure joy and laughter, 6 years of sadness and anger.
hey, i'm not discounting the fact that relationships ARE hard to maintain :P

But it's been more happiness than anything else, and we look to each other for support when we feel down~

Ok, so it's my turn to update this blog or N will start complaining heeheee

We went to Toast at Takashimaya for lunch, where we had the wild mushroom soup, turkey ham with cranberry jam wrap, and a chicken caesar salad and a tofu salad~

All were yum!!! heehee.. initially i was hesitant about the cranberry stuff, since i'm not a fan of jam. But it was all good! it wasn't overpowering and added just the perfect amt of sweetness to the wrap. the wild mushroom soup was another surprise. it wasnt like the normal campbell's mushroom soup, more soup than mushroom. But this one felt like a mushroom blend with a dollop of cream to create a soupy consistency. oO lala!!~

Feeling extremely bloated after the shared meal, we went down to Cineleisure to catch the Simpson's Movie and we shared a popcorn :P I shan't spoil the movie for u, but it's a pretty funny show, typical of the usual Simpson's cartoon :)

Damn that i had extremely high tide that i had to miss a few seconds of the show :X Luckily there was a loo in the cinema theatre itself.
Anyway, there was a damn blur guy sitting beside N, and he kept taking N's drink thinking that it was his! TWICE! hahaha. blur kokenaden.

So... after the movie, we took a train ride down.. to Bedok! to reminicise (argh how to spell?!) our past, before we got together. From there, we went to Long John Silver's, where we had our first meal together. Hahaha.. and N actually remembered that it was A1's "Like a Rose" that was playing as we ate. okok MUSH ALERT!!! hehehe..

But this time, we just took pictures outside the restaurant, as N as most of u know, has sworn off junk food. hahahah.

As we were heading back to my place, we passed by a pasar malam or a "megamalam" of my invention, as this one stretched quite a fair bit! I realise pasar malams nowadays are always of such magnificent sizes. eek!

N felt like some kueh tutu, so we got some coconut (for him) and some peanut ones (for me). They were made fresh on the spot and so yummy!! heehee~ hadn't had some kueh tutu for errr.. well.. since i was like 12? :X

I also bought some steamed cakes ( the colourful ones) and we shared a brown one. heehee. even though i believe all the different colours produce the same taste, but somehow everyone thinks that each one is different :P anyway i love the green one~

tralalla, then it was back to my place for dinner, but before that, we got a pack of unagi since N was lusty for it :P All was good~ and it was such a lovely day spent together.

Hmm i didnt know that my presence in his soccer game had such an effect on him.. hahaha maybe i should go more often.. to make friends with the doggies there! hahahaha.

ok this is Independent C signing off for now!!
N pls add the photos ok? :P tata~

Anniversay

After all these years, it is once again time to remember the day it all started. From a simple innocent attraction it has matured into a strong and interesting relationship with all the right ingredients. No doubt there are times where we had our differences and we got into each other's way but then when we were separated we realised how empty we feel when we are unable to share a special moment or two without the other half. And yesterday i realised how much i actually enjoy arguing with her cos it sort of make us engage each other intellectually then she would engage me physically but tickling my stomach or etc... hehehe. We have come a long way and i appreciate my dear for accomodating my nonsense and also changing to become more independent jus becos i want her to. And even though u dunno it but it feels a world of difference when u sit there and watch me play soccer. I know the ants and mozzies were attacking you but u still stood there even in the rain watching, words cannot express how touched i was. Hmmm perhaps becos of your presence that is why i managed to score that funny goal where the guy could not get the ball even when he dived on the floor and tried to sweep me off my feet hahaha. So to commemorate today let everything be special today, hehehe even bought a greek dessert wine to open today hehehe. Hopefully it turns out nice.

This is a shared blog

Hahaha it is no longer mainly written by Her already. Now it is more or less equal share hahahaa. Bleahz

Another nice day with dearie

Yesterday was another great day spent with dearie hehehe. After church we went to Toast at ngee ann city to try out their food which my mum says it is so good. I shared a roast beef wrap with a chicken caesar salad with her. The wrap was spread with wasabi and the beef was jus done right. Not to salty and not to meaty. Shiok. The salad was also lightly tossed and there was jus the right amount of dressing in the salad. Finally it was time for dessert and we shared a carrot cake that was jus so moist and shiok. Better than cedele's cake jus that it does not have walnuts sprinkled all over it hehehe. Toast really has a wide array of pastries which i must try one day. The chocolate truffle cake looks shiok and so does it tarts. Dearie Tea for two one of these days? hahaha. After lunch my mum wanted to go to sim siang choon to check out something while we were gng there i was feeling sleepy from all the food so I fell asleep. And silly moomooo went to put the shrek cushion in the car on my belly strapped in place by the seat belt. Argh. hehehe but she was so amused by it so ok. After that we went grocery shopping and jus enjoyed each other's company by doing all the simple mundane stuff. Then she went to see me play soccer hehehe so sweet of moomoo. But she ended up more interested in the dogs tat were taking a walk near the field hahaha. But then at least she caught the goals that i scored. hahaha. Feel so different with moomoo watching me play hehehe. anyway our anniversary is coming up already so wat are we supposed to do hehehe. I shall starting cracking my brains and start thinking.

Dive Camp 07

Finally my career in the dive club is over after the annual dive camp is over here are some of the photos of the camp. Above on the left side is a hunting jack that was checking me out by swimming around me hehehe. Then there is the standard clownfish which i see every trip but then I am still fascinated up to today jus by looking at the swim in and out of the anemone. Then there is the giant turtle at Malang rock where Tingwei Jacky and I went for the best dive of the trip where we were surrounded by Jacks, Trevallies and Darts. Shiok. The last shot on the right is a shot of the resident cat at the resort. Hahah notice how it looks fiercely towards the camera. Once again i am reminded why i fell in love with diving, becos of the silence underwater and the sensation of weightlessness. Moreover it is jus the joy of seeing such sea creatures up close and personal. Furthermore, it is at such destination whereby the sunset are the nicest. Look above, the left picture was taken at renggis whereby the sun setted slowly and gracefully setting up a picturesque scene. The right picture was taken at the resort with a halo jus over the cloud. Dunno how such an effect came about but it was surely beautiful. Wat a nice way to end dive camp as it happened on the last night of the camp. I can still remember the first dive camp i went to with her at Aur. It was really so much fun and exciting as i was expecting the start of a new phase of my life and now after a few years here i m staring at the prospect of graduation soon. I have also seen the different comm members come n go and i will never ever forget those memories i shared with the dive club. However it is time to move on and leave this all behind. I know it is not a good time to leave the club but not now then when? Hopefully things will work out for the club and it will grow from strength to strength.

woahhh..

check this out.. is it even remotely possible?
the first thing in my mind was "photoshop!!!"

anyway, even if it is real, i don't quite like the current physical state he's in.
honestly i'd prefer his late 2003 to early 2004 look

(which in my opinion, is something like what N looks like, if he gek4s real hard. kekekeke)

that said, on a totally random note, there's a sales guy at Gap ( suntec) who looks rather hot.
hahahha. it was kinda awkward cos he just stood at the door when i first entered, and subsequently tagged me ard. okok, so it's normal. but somehow while browsing i inadvertently looked at him straight in the eyes. TWICE. and he looked back and i had to force my attention somewhere else as it was so damn awkward.

gawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwdd.. *sweat*
anyway, he seems younger than me. hahahha

anyway, i'm blissfully happy with N, and what's wrong with a little eye candy!
*heehee* grin~
ok my face is prickling with the facial mask i have on, need to wash it off now!

taaaaa :D

fossil baggie woes

boohoo.. N has gone for dive camp and won't be back till friday night...
zzz.

anyway, i discovered that my new fossil messenger had a hole in one of the pockets.
only realised this manufacturing defect after my keys dropped through a hole and settled nicely in between the outer cloth and the inner lining, and leaving me extremely perplexed how my keys managed to teleport to some no-man's land while i struggled to search for the darn hole for 10 mins.

rawrrrr. not to mention that i was extremely high tide and hungry and tired and my phone batt was dying. and a clever someone called me when i explicitly said NOT TO, (because i thought that i forgot to bring my keys with me) but rather sms back since my batt was dying already. smart huhhhh. as a result, my phone died on the spot. haiyoh.

so anyway i went back to Fossil (suntec) to see what they could do abt it, having called them earlier and having said that they couldnt do an exchange and they offered to repair the bag for me.

lo and behold, the lovely manager and the other sweet-looking shop assistant came out after some phone calls to their warehouse / whoever they were talking to, and offered an exchange!! :D

whoopeedodeedah!! they apologised abt overlooking the defect and even asked whether i wanted to be put on their mailing list. hehehe.

oOOO i'm so pleased with their service ( u can hardly get this ard sg. :( )
but they didnt have any name tags and i was too shy to ask for their names..

oh well.. but thanks to the 2 lovely ladies at fossil!! fossil nearly lost a potential future customer there.. and i really hope that the bag i'll get in a week and a half's time would be a much better quality. :P

ok that's all. i feel so lost now. like a part of me has just died or something.
bleh.
poooi.

i'm off to read a book. and dream of happy plushies.

* i'll update on the stuff i've made. after i've given N his little surprises ;P*

Together

Hehe, after so long we are still very much together and in love with each other. Though we may get into each other's way sometimes but it jus warms the heart to think that we have been through a big part of our lives together. Thanks Dear.

Shutter bug

These are jus some of the nice photos that i have taken during the redang trip. Haha and i got caught by the Shutterbug. Have been lately thinking of everything i see in angles and lighting and colours. hahaha i even bought a film for my old school camera to take nice photos of hehehe. Look at the cat photo think it looks like puss in boots hehehe.

Updates

hehee this is norman writing now. Look at the pictures that we took at cedele where I was treated to my fave carrot walnut cake. This is shown in the picture above. Hahah sorry for the random arrangement of the pictures cos i still dunno how to work this stupid blogger properly. Anyway it was a day of buying presents cos i had to buy birthday presents for my brother and clarence. Cheryl was a bit late so i had plenty of time to get wat i wanted. hehehe in the midst of it i chanced upon the book the Life of Pi. hehehe seems like a nice book ala robinson crusoe style whereby the author gets stranded and then reflects upon his station in life. But the language used is modern as compared to the beautifully crafted language used by defoe which contains tonnes of quotable quotes. Anyway back to the day, when she arrived i suggested that we go to Kam boat dim sum at lido there. Super shiok. We had the scallop dumpling, steamed carrot cake, and the best of all the steam custard bun. It has a molten core with custard oozing out from it. Superb. Then after that we walked around the isetan then taka area. Hahah and finally landed ourselves at cedele for teabreak. She had this chocolate pistachio cake which was very rich and you can see the bloated expressioon on her face. In the evening we went to the new AMK Hub which was a huge mall full of funky shops and eating places. We chanced upon this shop that sold nice old school notebooks which was so nostalgic. After a simple dinner it was a very nice day. hehehe.

hmmmm

some food for thought..
what were u doing on 07/07/07 at 07.07 am / pm?

i was sleeping on both occasions. hahahaha

tired and suay and sad.

Had a couple of errands to do for today, but pit stop no. 1 was MAAD~
I never miss MAAD whenever it's held, namely to see what new stuff is up and more importantly, to check out the pieces Oriental Rose created, since only sneak previews were up on her website.
And man.. is she popular or what. Within an hour of the opening of MAAD, most of the stuff had been snapped up already and her helper elves were almost screaming for help.. Too bad I woke up an hour late and was left to contend with whatever was left :P

Even though it was the first year anniversary of MAAD, I felt that most of the regular stall holders were not there, and it was rather lackluster compared to the first 3 times I went there. But oh well, it's possibly because I've seen the same stuff over and over again, that it got a little mundane. But I was rather intrigued by this guy selling some paper star- shaped lanterns at $25 each, and the paper was printed with really lovely prints. I would have gotten one if I had the moolah. Haha.

So after 1/2 at maad, I headed to school because 2 books were waaaay overdue. But surprisingly when I tried to pay my fine, there wasnt any record. *Hurhurhur*
Being the little thief that I am, I photocopied a large part of the 2 books before dumping them back to the library. :D

But I realise that photcopiers hate me. Or rather, I have no affinity with them. Printed about 25 pages before realising that somehow I had missed the first line of print and page no. of every single darn page. -_-""" Somehow the zoom-function was wonky and decided to annoy the hell out of me. Luckily I managed to rectify it in time. bleah.

After that, it was time to head to Spotlight at PS to get some craft supplies. Waited for what seemed like an eternity for 188, when this guy asked me for some directions and I decided to refer him to a map somewhere behind the bus stop, when 188... just zoomed... past behind me....

RAWRRRRRRRRRR.

And before that, as I was walking towards the bus stop, the previous 188 also just went past me..

DOUBLE RAWRRRR....

Luckily the next bus came within 12 mins. I was close to fainting and dying of hunger. zzzz.
So Spotlight and had some takopachi for lunch yadadadadida, and was on my way back when Sasa called to say my grandma was in hospital :'(

Sasa said she couldn't walk already. Sigh, anyone of you who reads this and believes in Jesus Christ or believes He exists but doesn't know Him yet, please help me pray a simple prayer for my grandma. She's my only grandparent left alive and I would really love to see her healthy and happy.

Ok that's all for now, I'm actually not in a very bloggery mood, but I need to type this out to feel a bit better.

tata for now

photo-logue

nyanyanya.. went to swensens for our ritualistic ice cream indulgence.
N's gg to Redang for another diving trip, so we had to have our little ice cream treat which is customary before anyone of us goes overseas.
i whip out my trusty camera and caught him unawares.. heehee

ever ready for a nice smile :)

deciding which ice cream flavour to have~

sorry dear, this picture was too funny not to post up :P
anyways, i tried depicting N as a chamelon, but couldnt find suitable analogies online.. haha

waiting for the food~~~ or rather, the sweet treats...

getting rather bored... zzz..

N with his 'actor-in-the-studio' kind of look.
i feel it's the kinda photos u find in an exhibition full of famous actors and actresses, with deep emotions etched on their faces. kekeke.

i love this photo the best. N says we have such a fu1-qi1 xiang4. hahaha!!! lalalala~
btw, the pictures were taken on manual mode, hence the colour diff, as compared to the first 2 pics :P

oh. i had sticky chewy chocolate sundae, while he had some coconut ice cream thingy, both equally good. heeheehee :D

die hard really hard to die

kekeke... pardon the cheesy title..
anyway went to tiong bahru market to have lunch today~
ordered the famous wanton mee~ where the mee was perfectly cooked and the chilli was just right.
the soup was yumyumyum and the wantons were literally melt in your mouth.

but i dunno why uncle only gimme 2 wantons instead of the normal 3 today. 0_-"""
N had the feng jiao ( chicken feet) with wanton mee. aiyoh. only one bone came out, which means the rest of the bones were so soft!! eeeyerrrr. *brrrrr*

my wanton mee and his super big and flaccid feng jiao

look at the size of those chicken feet!!!!! 0.O""""

our peanut-milo ice kachang~ yummy yummy!~

anyways, spotlight was having a 20% promotion storewide~ and since i was lemming to get some cloth for my new baggie adventure, made a trip there and it was pretty crowded. amazing it is, the number of people on a weekday. N said that it's because a lot of men can afford their wives to be housewives. i think i'll be damn bored if i were to be a housewife. *shudder* but then again, i'm behaving like one with my current lifestyle. zzz. haiyohhh

so, i managed to get 6 types of cloth, for only $30!! :D
that's $5 for a piece~ and that's quite a bit of cloth for that price! i is happie~~ XD

after mulling ard PS and watching Die Hard 4, which amazingly was out in the cinemas already, we went back to his place for a jog at the gym.
boy was i in the mood for running, and luckily the 2 treadmills were unoccupied. yayness.
so after my measly energy was spent, i stretched a bit and did some sit ups, push ups, played around with the gym machines (some weight thingamajig) and planted a stinkbomb ( just kidding haha), i waited on the bicycle machine while N sweated his butt out and gave the treadmill a huge thunderstorm of blessings. :P

tralalala, and we had dinner ( his maid, Siti, cooks the most delicious chilli / curry dishes :D) and watched the telly while David Attenborough introduced us to the world of slugs and snails which while disgusting to us, made it so magical and intriguing.

ok lah, while it seems to mundane to the rest of the world, i just feel so comforted by the simple pleasures in life~ hehe :D i'll spare u guys all the icky mushiness. haha.

till later! photo updates later too~

Transformers - More than meets the eye!!!

Hehe finally got to catch TRANSFORMERS (ROBUTTS in disguise hehehe)! It is a damn cool movie, and on the surface it is another ass-kicking, complex CGI, super surround sound no brainer plot movie. However, look deeper and it is sort of US propaganda saying that their military is damn gilat. First you have once of the decepticon attacking the US troops. Then this WHITE amercian captain runs into this Qatar town gets the handphone from someone phones the Pentagon. Then the network centric warfare comes into play. Ops centre gets a satellite feed on the target, launches a UAV (predator) to get a visual ID on the target, then uses the laser target designation by ground troops to enable A-10 Thunderbolts to fire at the target. Oh ya and the friggin red beret commando was giving GCI calls to the aircraft, showing that even ground troops are cross trained. And all this was done to jus get the tail part of the robutt. hahaha! So by showing this on the movies the US is probably trying to state that if they can show this on the movies what they REALLY have is probably somewhat more advanced and complex haha.

Furthermore, optimus prime is clearly a democrat and believes in absolute freedom of the human race. Even the freedom to make mistake and destroy oneself. Pengz, even like that also wanna impinge their political ideals on the world. Wat a scheme by hollywood. Then they even shoot the final scene in the city to illustrate that even if it means massive collateral damage, human rights should still be protected. The all-sparks which is like the symbol of freedom is being protected by all means possible. And how apt it is to use it to destroy the oppressive megatron hahaha. Ok but watever i shall be bimbotic and jus drool over the super cool robots.

Anyway after the movie we went to Parkway parade. It is kinda sweet that both her and me were thinking of gng to the same place hahaha. Anyway we had dimsum and char kway teow for dinner. And i brought her to the pet shop as stated by her. After that we went to MPH in parkway where i finally found a cheap copy of charles dickens "Great Expectations". Yeah finally i get to read it. So happy!

Ok now i wanna ramble about life. hahaha. Have been thinking recently on the nitty gritties of settling down and found out that there is really alot of shit to do. The payments for house and car will generally suck the finances dry already and when the kid comes along boom think we will be bogged down already. Jus punching the calculator and all really makes me cringe hahaha. But it is all for the sake of spending the rest of my life with Her which makes everything bearable haha.

roBATS in the sky

huuhuuu.. today Norman surprised me that he could get off early from work today :P
so he suggested gg for a movie. in the end we went to gv marina, since the one at vivo was awfully packed (yes even with internet booking, 3 hours ahead of the show)

the show was due to start at 3.25pm, and we didnt have enough time for makan, so we ended up eating cup corn and popcorn and coke for lunch -_-""

oh yah. we watched TRANSFORMERS. hehe.

to me, at least it was a pretty darn good movie, even though i knew nuts about the 'robats' before the show. it was gripping - i literally gripped norman throughout the show, and touching, and i thought the special effects were pretty darn cool. except when the 'robats' transformed, due to the extreme speed at which the tiny little parts of the 'robats' were moving, it was rather difficult and blurry to catch it all in.

besides that, i could finally figure out why so many little boys and men were so mesmerised by the action figures, and why N would always look longingly at the Optimus Prime / Starscream action figures at the department stores or toy shops which we so often frequent. *hehe* Digressing, honestly i prefer the first generation of Transformers, the rather blockish pieces that looked more friendly and less imposing than the newly zhng-ed sharp-looking futuristic ones, that probably have far too many details in their works that could possibly fail to provide explanation to their existence.

so anyways, i'd give it 5 popcorns. :D
*clap clap clap*
the sound effects were damn good, accompanied by the freaking complex cgi. and even though i first entered the movie theatre feeling skeptical, but the show just blew me away. :D

now. where do i get myself one of those optimus prime figures??

hehe.. *meow*

oh anyway we later went to parkway parade for dinner.
after some cheap dimsum ($7 for 5 dishes!) and my sinful char kway teow that left me awfully fartulent, Norman brought me to a pet shop filled with cute pets!!

i went literally like this (o.0)

there were lionhead rabbits, lop, rex, local white rabbits, even local black ones that i've never seen before! the cutest thing was that the little white bunnies were cuddled in one corner and they were tiny little ones.. *awwww so cute*
there was also a tiny white hamster that only knew how to act cute. hahaha. and messy haired guniea (eh how to spell!!) pigs - that resembled N after he wakes up each morning.. hahaha

oh oh, and i saw 2 sets of bunnies that were nose to nose. hahaha. so sweet! oh and there were some other breed bunnies ( which i forgot the name of), grey and white banded, another was smoky, the other was grey-white-goldish mix, etc. ahhh!!! why must they be so cute!

the rex had lovely velvety fur, the lionhead was a puffy hyperactive ball of fur, the baby bunnies were just sleeping or resting around - acting cute is definitely second nature to them.

i kept looking at them over and over again.. so CUTE!!!! oh not to forget, there was a puppy shih-tzu in another cage. it was looking so forlorn and had such a sweet little face. *melts*

haiiiiiii. too bad it's all out of my reach. :(

like this also can.

what kind of a stupid bimbotic airhead emails me to ask about the measurements of an ipod nano.
it's not a piece of clothing for crying out loud!

Another day of food

Think my weekends are filled with nice stuff to eat hahaha and this saturday was not exception. In the afternoon went for lunch with my mum and edmund and we ate at crystal jade. Think my mum was in a spending mood becos of the GST payout . Wat a plot by the govt to increase nation spending. Then after lunch we went to secret recipe to eat their lovely sinfully yummy cakes. We had marble cheese, mango somethng and carrot slice. The mango and carrot cakes were not nice at all. hehehe but the marble cheese POWER!!! I am not a big fan of cheesecakes but this one is different hahaha. think my mum is gng to buy that cake for Edmund's birthday already which is jus round the corner.

Then it was church time and i explained to the children the ill effects of playing with Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Did my research on the topic and found out that it is actually an adult cartoon or anime in Japan and the USA distributors actually water it down to meet the censorship requirements in US. The anime actually had themes of death and violence running throughout and the method which the duelmasters employ is closely similar to the practice of witch-craft. Brrr. Worse still the symbols in the tv show are similar to occultic symbols. I know that the children may think that they are jus symbols and cannot hurt them. But i told them that the cross and the blood of christ are also symbols in the figurative sense but very powerful ones indeed. So they got the link. Thank God.

Then it was dinner time. Had a nice meal with cheryl and her mum at sushi tei where i was stuffed with soft shell crabs, dragon rolls, and etc... ( eh! it's soft shell crab, thick heavenly slices of salmon sashimi, unagi sushi with king prawn and avocado, beancurd skin rice warps, some red eggy sushi thing, paper miso soup hot pot *yummy!!!*, octopus sushi.. ehh i cant remember already) But wat a fulfilling meal it was. Then i had to go suntec to get some stuff. (hehe it was actually me!!!! *hyuk* happy baggie day~~~) After which we went to Menotti's for some italian pastry. She had Diplomatica and I had Baba. Diplomatica is a sponge with hazelnut thin chocolate coins, while baba is a sponge cake soaked in rum with custard and fresh strawberries. Yum yum. That sums up a sinful day hehehe. Luckily i ran in the morning hahaha.

well before i met up with N, mummy and I went to shop at city link, marina square and raffles city :D though i expected the day to be worse, it turned out well, and i'm glad mummy was happie XD well, even though she didnt really like the green tea ice cream from azabu sabo :( heehee :P anyway, it seemed as if the whole of singapore was out shopping before the gst hike! and hurhur i was no less a victim of kiasu-ism.

sorry dear that i had to edit this post! :D
