Say "Hi" to Mr. Pigeon #31

Remember the other day when I was lamenting about waiting for a surprise in the mail? Well here it is!

This little box was waiting for me at the post office (since no one was at home when the door bell rang. It was addressed in very neat letters, and reminded me of my kindergarten school teacher who used to write extremely neatly. Come to think of it, it really is a tough skill!

I slit open the parcel while in my tutor's office. Hoho! I couldn't stand the suspense any longer! My friends were really eager to see what was inside as well. Hmmm. Surprises are irresistable! :D

Here's what I saw the moment I opened the box. A nice tube of smarties in neon colours and another tube of fruit pastilles! Thanks Charlie! It was totally unexpected~

I promptly took away the nice tidbits and finally had a chance to touch and feel the famed Mr. Pigeon. :)

He was an extremely sweet little chap, with a tag that read "Hello, my name is ____. I am your pigeon pal. Please take good care of me." He also had a little passport and a knitting pattern for a jumper! *Time to learn how to knit!*

Mr. Pigeon #31 felt so strange and alone. After having spent 10 days in a snug little box with pretty purple tissue and candy treats to enjoy, it was strange to be let out in the open. Eeps!

But Mr Pigeon wasn't to be trifled with. He quickly settled his feathers and nestled himself on the bookshelf and started browsing a collection of architecture magazines. Hmm. Tsk tsk!

As if that wasn't enough, he started poking his 'beak' into building design! Hoho. What a fine and intelligent little pigeon we have here.

He was immensely proud of himself, and started to admire his fine reflection. Hohoho.

Mr Pigeon has many great dreams. He has such a dignified face! One day, he'll be a famed architect!

Coo!!

Been pretty busy since the dissertation submission.
B, E, H and I had to meet with PB for thesis and boy were we shocked with the amount of work he laid out for us.

We expected the first session to be eng-eng-ceng-ceng. BUT NOOOOOOO.
First up to AF at taka to get bloody materials and 'play' with them till evening. Hoho.
Followed by daily visits to his office for presentation and our little models (if any).
Wheeeeee.

K anyway the point of this post is to glorify God and the little adventure N and I had last night. We took a train back after a dinner at taka and I had

1) umbrella (big giordano one)
2) newly bought thingamajig from zara
3) wallet

in my left hand.
I was using the brolly as a walking stick, WHICH accidentally hit the back of N's heel as I walked out. WHICH promptly loosened my grip on the aforementioned brolly, as well as the WALLET.

I managed to see the wallet fall in slow motion, forming a perfect curve as it fell from the pull of gravity. Probably due to parallax error or rather wishful thinking, I thought it would have landed safely on the platform. BUT NO!! Plonk it went, straight into the gap!

I think everyone in that carriage heard me screaming "Oh shoot!!"

made a report at the station control, and begged them to call me the moment they retrieved it.
Thank God at 1am, the call was made and I was a happy girl. :)

By faith, anything can happen. :D

"boredom"

comfort food

I feel like noming on slices of sashimi and thinly sliced smoked salmon.
Mmm mmm~

Hermiting myself away from msn for the moment.
Looking at their stressful nicks makes me really stressed out too!

Psst! While swee's chippies make great comfort food (in terms of taste), it doesnt go too well for my bowels and mood either. They make me grumpy and fat!

Gahhhh can't wait for my little surprise to arrive in the mail~

things i like about my neighbourhood

Just the other day, while I was peering out from the kitchen window, I chanced upon this humorous sight.

It seemed so deliberate. Haha I guess the effect would be better if the maroon car wasn't there. :D

It isnt so clear, but I was tickled to see all the multicolored laundry hanging out along the corridors. A huge contrast to the ordered rectangles and geometric lines of orange, beige and white.

Feeling vexed that despite the looming deadline I still suffer from procrastination and distraction. Oh woe! But I shall persevere on.

bag hunting

This is a bag that all stressed out architecture students should have.
Any takers? Hehe :Þ

Hammies are just some of the cutest things in the world. Their innocent faces and constant munching, running and snuggling one another can just brighten up anyone's day.

The first one was sleeping. ( Thought it was dead at first till it twitched)
And as it slept and twitched even more, it eventually fell out of the thread-mill.

The second was sleeping, but it settled itself smack in the middle of the enclosure and bundled itself like a ball. Haha. So cute and regal.

flash back

Photo taken 2 nights ago.

24 year old trapped in a 12 year old's body. Complete with 1990s Jurassic Park themed tshirt and nerdy glasses. Wheeee! Kudos to my hairstylist for layering my hair this SHORT. Lol.

=____=

This post will be a rant. If you don't wish to spoil your day, then pls try not to read it.

I'm immensely pissed with someone of higher authority right now, having just been on the receiving end of an insensitive comment YET AGAIN.

Like how I managed to wash all the dishes and clear up the mess and having cheerfully greeted her despite being bogged down and stressed by my paper. And all I got was "Wah! Rubbish haven throw."

@?#!#@!?#@!###!!!!@#@!#@!#@#@#@#@#:;:;;;>>>>,,,,,,.........................

-_-.

Weh.

I'm really sure that I'm at that age where I need my own physical space in order to build a better and healthier relationship. It'll be good for both parties. Le sigh. A few years more to 'freedom'.

Ok I feel better now.
Actually there's more to it than just this one incident. So pls don't push your arguments on me! TQ!

the price of happiness = $22?

Whee~ my head felt extremely heavy from all that hair and since haircuts are quite therapeutic and armed with the excuse that I needed to return my library books and get some vinyl tape, I proceeded to white sands s/c during lunch time. Gone are the atrocious split / frizzy ends yay! Ok the end! :D

new baggie day~

Heehee

I finally satisfied my search for new backpack, one that's smaller and lighter than my current ones. Whee! Guess you all should be able to guess how it looks like if I reveal that it's bought from Army Market, and it doesn't belong to one of those mega-she-bang brands. :D The best thing that it was less than $30!

Anyhooooo, I'm thinking of embellishing it with random pin buttons and clothes buttons that I've amassed over the YEARS. Although it'll definitely 'brighten' up the backpack, but I think it'll be desperately heavy after all that customising!

But first, I'll need to find black tape and remove all the ding-ding-dang-dangs that are unnecessary 'cept in forest expeditions - which I don't think I'll be participating in a long time to come! LOVE the padded back though. Wheee!!

But first, I'll need to air it. It smells terrifically funky and I actually felt faint after taking a whiff of it. Ok till later! :D

Hmmm the swiss francs isn't so strong lately.. HMMMM. Haha
