it's been a long hiatus since i've last posted :P
haven't really been up to much, except being super busy at work, trying to juggle between work, studies and my love life. haha.

and it's also partly due to the fact that when i think of things to blog about, i dont have the mood / time to do it at all.

anyway since i'm done with my dissertation proposal (finally!) i'd thought i'd share this bit of the bible with u.

isaiah 40:29-31
"He gives strength to the weary, and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint"

This passage summarises how I've been feeling for the past 2 months or so, never really having enough time for myself and feeling like a slave at work. But after reading this passage, it's renewed my determination to be dedicated to my work and doing a good job at it. Though of course I can't blindly surrender myself to the job at hand lah. It's got to be balanced :)

I'm also super super thankful for God's grace and mercy for lessening the workload at work these past 2 weeks, so I could concentrate a bit more on my readings as well as postponing the deadline for the submission. AMEN!! :D

Wheee~~ and not forgetting to thank N who showed me the Bible and told me that this passage was for me. heehee :P

Anyhow, I've also been hearing a lot from God to "do this" or "do that" and I feel as if it's the time to really test my determination and obedience to His word. Well, also because I really want to know if it's truly God that's speaking to me, rather than my imagination or something else. So I'm glad that God is putting me through this time now.

I also realise that CONSISTENT prayer is very powerful. It not only proves your sincerity but also strengthens your relationship with God.

And to help those who don't quite know how to pray, this is something I received from the Church recently:

"Dear Heavenly Father, I need Your help and blessings.
Thank you for Your love.
Thank You for sending Jesus to us so that we may be blessed.
Please bless me with ______. Thank you for your blessings.
In Jesus' Name I pray.
Amen."

Of course the ____ doesnt represent $$$ or luck lah.
You can ask for
1) Health / Healing
2) Protection
3) Inner Peace
4) Family Harmony
5) Friendships and Relationships
6) Success in Studies
7) Financial Freedom
8) Progress in Career / Future Direction
9) Wisdom and Intelligence
10) Forgiveness
11) Eternal Life
12) Fullness of the Holy Spirit

You can pray this alone, or pray with someone u know / is close to u. :)
If u've never tried this before, and absolutely refuse to, why not think of it this way.

"Jesus said, 'Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be made complete" John 16:24

I think it's worth a shot innit? :P
Pray with sincerity and be humble. Pray this everyday. Please dont ask for short term earthly riches you so envy, but rather the love and peace from God that is the basis for all happiness :)
