Nice day together
After lunch i began my stupid let's take a bus and see where we land up game. But then luckily we ended up at tiong bahru plaza then we took an mrt down to raffles city. Hahah where we shopped till we dropped literally. As in window shop lah, hehe otherwise we would end up with burnt pockets. Saw this british india 3/4s which was nice and wat i was looking for. But then i reckon that the same effect could be achieved with my fisherman pants hahaha so no point spending 80 bucks on something that i have already. Then i felt hungry so i went to eat my fave cedele carrot walnut cake oh so nice hehehe. After that we went to the THAT CD shop and wanted to find the dvd for eternal sunshine for the spotless mind and we found it jus that it costs 30 bucks. Friggin not worth it. Luckily when we proceeded towards suntec the HMV at city link mall sold it for only 12.95 hehe at a steal. Jus walk abit only and i got like more than 50% discount.
By the time we reached suntec our legs were already dying already hehee. She got to rest while i scoured the sports shops. Then at royal sporting house I found that addidas predator absolute (made of K leather) was gng for only 139 bucks. Usually it would cost 170 the cheapest. Worse of all there was my size hehee. Feel like buying but then decided against it since i still have my nike air zoom II. heee. Period.
Then we had dinner at Muthu's curry. Superb dinner. Had Chicken Tandoori, Fish Tika, Brinjal Masala and Cabbage Abu ne ne hehehe. I forgot the name of the last dish. hehee we also had super crispy papa dums then were not too oily. Ie when u bite into it, it would not leave oil on ur lips. The chicken was cooked (in cheryl's words) till it is "white and not grey or bloody". Translated in english it means that it is not over cooked or too raw hehehe. And it was rightly spiced with all the nice flavours. The vegetable curries were also perfect. Wat a really nice day with so many gastronomical experiences.
Then we proceeded to the food court so i could get a dessert to cool my tongue down. There a baby was attracted to Her Lesport sac hehehe and then was playing peek a boo with us. So cute. The day concluded uneventfully as we journeyed towards pasir ris tired but full of memories and a nice warm fuzzy feeling of spending the day together. Toodlez

*hick!*
went to N's place for dinner, and before that, we went to Cold Storage to get a bottle of M.
I seriously forgot what the name of the wine was, and it's definitely not Merlot.
Anyway, it's got 5.5% alcohol in it, so it's not as strong as a typical whine. haha.
Anyways, M tasted rather good, but N said that it was a bad quality for an M.
but hoho, it was only $22 and it tasted rather good and frooty, so all was well :D
And I got a bit tipsy and started doing silly things to N, which will only be known to both of us. XD
So after 4 glasses of M each, N decided it was best to send me back home on account of my 'condition', even when he too was starting to feel drowsy from M.
hehe. so I had a relatively early night's rest - which was accompanied with a rather horrible nightmare. le sigh. ok that's all! :D
update: M = Moscato! hehe

Testing of the interactive pet
Anyway after the ice cream we went to central mall to take a nice slow walk around to look for her bag. Brought her to hurs but then she said that the bags there were of inferior quality. Then brought her to Liz but the brown bag there was a tad too small. Hehe in the end we did not buy anything but it was jus nice walking around with her. Then after that i decided to go to liang court to get sashimi. Hehe and boy was it good. We had salmon, octopus and tai (mackarel). She described mackarel as non-fishy and sweet and octopus and crunchy. To her swordfish taste sweet and milky. I Like the way she describes her raw fishes.
At liang court we also passed by this antique shop and it had lots of curious things from the past. They sold grammophones, antique watches and pocket watches, compasses (real classy ones), telescopes/perspective glasses (clad in leather), and also simple and elaborate sextants (used to measure a ship's location in lattitude and longitude). The also had antique fans (with metal blades), and also the old style telephone with the rolly prolly dials. We both briefly mentioned that our house should be full of such things next time hehehe.
Being wondering about how our future house would look like also and where we would stay hehehe. I would definitely want a house with a view and a nice balcony. Actually i would like to live high up on the top floor but then a landed property also has the perks of having a personal gardenspace where she can let her rabbits run and plant her nice lilies and all. heheh the future would take care of itself. Haha but for now the present seem to be jus all nice. I mean there are the occassional fights and quarrels but then after that we soon realise that we need each other and we have each other. I realise that we can have this endless stream of conversations sometimes and talk about everything. Topics are sometimes descriptive, analytical, philosophical etc... And it never gets boring. To me if i were to grow old with someone, it would be her who is on the same mental plane as me and the same frequency. I guess that is what love is all about. That is all for now toodlez. I jus realise i have the tendency to write long posts. Argh bad habit. (OCCUPATIONAL HAZARD!!!)

roadtripped...
he had to complete some admin matters for his impending flying lessons..
and what a twat i was that i didnt even know that i needn't get out of the car at the immigration check point -_-"""
anyway. after the admin matters and some lunch, we were on our way to city plaza (some big arse shopping centre in JB), we spotted a rather... i should say.. interesting sight along the highway...
0_o""" at first, we all thought it was a bridge linking to another highway perpendicularly above the current highway we were on.. but boy were we wrong!!! such an expensive U-turn i must say.. hahahaha..
k that's all for now.. n why the hell are stupid contractors drilling the corridor outside the apartment?!?! useless HDB upgrading i must say. argh. the noise is irritating the hell out of me.

So here's the description based on MY actual horoscope:~
Scorpios don’t mind working hard and they really need an outlet for their energy. They are naturals at anything such as engineering, mining or research and even being detectives. They are always looking for the item that makes everything work.

Anyway, i've always had the impression that Scorpios, I myself included, are fiery people and ironically, very dark and mysterious about their lives. I've always believed I was a true Scorpio, but after reading about my zodiac sign after like 6 years, I realise I've mellowed down a lot. That I used to live in what people thought I should be, but now I've moved on somewhere else.
But I guess the little bit of Scorpio still exists in me, though not as determined and angry as before. haha. The former I blame on my horrendous years in aki, and the latter i attest to N's encouragement and patience with me :)
Now, about N's sign, which I think is rather FRIGTENINGLY true. hahaha.
Aries Personality traits
This person is adventurous and energetic. *such an understatement* Their pioneering attitude leads them into places others would fear to tread. *how now about flying lessons?* With enthusiasm and confidence, they push themselves onward. Others love to be around them because of their quick wit and dynamic personalities.
On the other side of the spectrum, they can be selfish and quick tempered. Most Arian’s show a selfish tendency at some point in their lives. If they are made aware of this fact and how it looks as children, then they can become aware of this propensity and correct it. Impulsive and impatient, they wait for no one. This person can be foolhardy added with a daredevil influence, which quickly leads them into trouble. *err this i dont quite know*
They love spicy food but it is not necessarily good for them. With hearty appetites, they thrive on traditional meals rather than elaborate dishes.

she-hunter misses her target.
went to vivocity to collect his watch (apparently there was a manufacturing defect and DUST clogged up the mechanism. )
then we went to marina sq. for dinner and a titty bitty bit of shopping after that.
couldnt really find my perfect bag, but managed to show norman the esprit one that caught my eye. it's a new release aka not on sale. boohoo. so it costs $109 for now :(that will be my KIV bag. hurhur..
saw a damn nice trapeze jacket from ZARA as well. but that too was 89.90. walau. i is hating myself for choosing such expensive stuff. haii
anyway didnt get anything at all.
oh yah about the point of oversized totes, i mean structured totes. not those floppy icky ones. and yes i bet long dresses will be the next in thing too. long sleeveless ones. hehe we'll see~ tralalalala. till later~~
i think there's something wrong with blogger, the words care coming out slower than i am typing. it seems like a constipated powerpoint presentation. gahhhh.
bagalicious~
oversized tote bags will be in.
and it better be soon.
rarr. lao niang is getting impatient.
its one of those days where i think a new trend would come in. teeheehee hope i'm right *again* :P
anyway what kind of fashion really does stay in sg?
everyone looks the same and loads of teens stay unfashionably backwards for agonisingly too long. no thanks to overpriced goods from "foldover-tenty-wan" and "topdrop" amongst many others. hehe
i'd say the classic well-cut clothes look better than some fumpyily cut oversized top on some fashion hag matched with horrid leggings anytime. and what's up with horribly drawn eyeliner? The Cleopatra look has been dead since the Jurassic.
well tralalla.. i've realised i've gained a notorious fame *well that's not surprising* on online goodies / bag stuff among my friends.. been called a bag lady.. shopping queen.. online expert...yadadada..haha and quite a lot of them have told me to go into this line. but hmm i still feel that i've lots more to learn :X and i'm totally not into interacting with well, the stereotypical airheads that constantly plague the above shops i've mentioned. mebbe i could go into slightly higher end / high-end. but nahhh. if u dont own it, u dont know it. hahahaha.
i'm feeling immensely bitchy today. wahahaha. mebbe because i'm totally sick of how so many girls just fall headlong into the clutches of fashionable fashion, be it the "it" brand of the season, or the "it" cutting, whether it suits them or not. or worse still, mini denim shorts with cellulite and untoned jelly thighs galore. THAT, you will never ever catch me in, even after my legs have been waxed. hahahaha.
or mebbe i could just stick to predicting the next "it" thing. hahaha. well i'm definitely not gg to be better than anna wintour or anything, just a little fun whenever an idea pops into my head..
till later.. !!!

perfection has never been easy. ptoooooi

anyway, this is the Riksja, which has the unfortunate detail of having VELCRO to hold its pockets together!! eeyuk!!! $209 and no magnetic buttons. but velcro. poootoooi.
So u might be asking, "Ok so what are u looking for?"
And *ahem* of course I'm quite adept at trawling the internet for stuff.. so here are some of the stuff.. hehee
First of all, I love open top tote bags. That is to say, no annoying zips that will possibly scratch my skin when I dig through my bag.

This is an example of an open top tote, and incidentally, I love this rounded 'horizontal rectangle' shape as well :P
Next, the top handles must be pinched for easy grip and carry. Take the ADORABLE Lecoste terry tote for example. The top part of the handle has been folded lengthwise. Easy peasy to understand right? :)
So u might think, "Aiyah can one lah." Well, let me just illustrate to you the difficulty of it all. :D
First up, another Lacoste bag. yes it's a tote, yes it's open top. BUT. the shape's a little off and the handles are wrong! I realise that more often that not, bags with such features slide off my shoulder easily. That, or it's just a fussy ol' me. hehehe. besides. the US$400 price tag totally doesnt go with me at all. ptooi.
Another lacoste. sorry ah, cos i was looking through Macy's website. Suits the criteria, but the shape is salahhhhh. I can just imagine people sticking their hands into my bag when I'm being stupidly unaware. Hahhaah. oh wait. The handles look a bit too thick for me.
this one, is just too cute to not put up. You seriously can imagine little plants growing out from the front pockets. hurhur..
okok, this is not an open top at all. But the Tod's satchel is simply too yummy.. no? haha. Love the midnight blue too :D
Found this one via L.L.Bean. Some american thing. but the colour combi is so me! no? hehe.. my only gripe is the shape. yah.. haha well i prefer the larger one, but i could possibly just drown in it. :X
And finally, this is TOTALLY NOT WHAT TO GET. or rather I wouldn't get!!! it looks rather like some trashy luggage bag that illegal immigrants will use and the print is just sooo wrong. the edges are too sharp as well.
Grr. So I guess the bag I'm looking out for is either in canvas / leather *wink* / unsmelly pleather. haha. It gotta be soft around the edges, handles not too long nor too short for my shoulders, and well, of course a "Ding!!!!" has to go in my head when I see it! :D tralalalala. ok i'm being insane.

Diving trip blog

All things simple and good
Haha feel so happy today that i got GOLD for my IPPT. Hahah although i barely made it cos the PTI was super fussy today. Had 4 to 5 pull ups not counted then jump like mad for the SBJ then get 239cm argh. Cannot stand those frogs that lightly jump and then jump off the mat like 260cm or more. But today 2.4 run was relaxed hahaha cos i did not had someone breathing down my neck like my test last year so managed to clock 8min 58 secs. But watever the case i still got my money that is the most important.
SHOPPING TRIP
Second i also got the approval from my dad regarding flying training so when i am finally going to take to the skies yeah!!! Hopefully i can bring moomoo up soon one day and we will make a nice cross country flight to tioman or phuket again? hahaha. Jus hope that my finances dun run out by then hahaha. Anyway went out with dear yesterday and it was fun yet tiring walking up and down far east plaza. Think gurls have this amazing ability to stay focused on shopping on long periods of time. After awhile my attention span like wavered and i was jus like a walking zombie haha. But at least i got something out of the trip as i finally found the $4 version of 20,000 leagues under the sea. Think i really got some obessession with classic stories these few days. Being reading stupid books like King solomon's mines, robinson crusoe, through the looking glass and etc. Luckily i am not speaking in old english now.
DINNER AND DESSERT
Then after the shopping we had dinner at Shaw Centre. The one where the Prince cinema is located at. Had some japanese food which is "original" and it "lingers" the heart. Haha at least that was what its signboard said. I was telling dear that it was original becos it is so different from normal jap food that it tastes original, and it lingers the heart becos it is so awful that u will remember not to eat there again. hahah but it turned out well and my mixed mushroom ramen had this nice soup stock and dear's terriyaki chicken looks solid and bouncy. After that we had nice home made ice cream at ice cream palette. We actually wanted to try lavender flavour but it tasted like some essential oils so we gave it a pass. Then i wanted to try the banana with honeyed walnut ice cream but it tasted more like mashed bananas. In the end we settled for peanut butter and apple pie ice cream. It was so nice the apple flavour being subtle and the peanut butter super rich. Most of all the ice cream was doughly and not watery like island creamery. Now after tasting icecreamgallery and icecream palette, i personally think island creamery is all nothing but air and it thrives on a good marketing concept. That is all a business needs, a good marketing strategic targetted at the right audience and wah lah u got good business.
THOUGHTS
These few days i have been thinking alot of the future. Now i really dunno wat i would be in the future. But i guess the only advice i have for myself is to let nature takes it course and do the best in all that i do and keep all options open. Then i was also thinking abt the big acquisition a normal person would have to undertake at adulthood. House, renovation, furniture, electronics, car, babies products. Shivers, really a lot of money required. heheh "when you are young u wished you were old, when you are old u wished you were still young". The power of freedom comes with the price of responsibility. Perhaps i am a little too young to think of all this but it really bothers me. But at least my future is more or less limited to three options, so not so bad. Really hope dear finds her destiny soon then she would not feel so insecure all the time. Then maybe we can start working towards our ultimate goal of a nice and happy family that is self sufficient. hehehe. That is all for now

Norman writing
On a happier note, I feel so blessed to have cheryl by my side every step of the way. Haha even though we always step on each other's tail (more often I am the guilty one), it all seem so natural that we keep the big picture in mind and move on. Moreover, i think that between us there have been so many memories that it is enough to fill up an hour's worth of photo slideshow or video during our wedding night. hahaha. But to those who have been accustomed to lovey dovey shows with fairy tale endings in the movies and tv shows real relationships are not like that. They have to be worked at and the real joy is when after all that working u find someone to walk and spend this life with. That is all for now toodlez

calm after the storm
anyway i'll blog abt this evening out with Norman :)
we agreed on gg out to marina sq. for dinner, cos it's quite a nice place to just walk walk. hehe.
unfortch, that wasnt the case, as i immediately headed down to esprit and british india and timberland AND levis at raffles city to check out their sales :P the funniest thing at BI was that Norman was more interested in testing the comfort of the few chairs that were on sale rather than the shitloads of clothes on display :P hurhur.
"hey it's leather lehhhh."
"ahhhh, aye nice to sit leh"
*girlish giggle* (by me lah!)
anyways. as he went to draw money, he found out that he received his deposit from the hostel and was feeling immensely RICH - which made him in a good mood for a nice dinner treat. *yummerz*
oh yah. so levis had a sale. the thing is, i've never really been to levis before, so of course i wouldnt know their models and styles and whatever not. the staff werent exactly friendly when FIRST, they asked what i was searching for, and SECONDLY, didnt really help when i was trying to find a pair in my size.
very cute hor. this kind of pple / customer service also got. =_=""
or issit because i was at the sale bin ah. geez..
and they made me feel awfully guity that i knew nuts about levis. except that they sold jeans.zzz
anyway, it's not EVERYONE that was gross. there was this particular salesgirl that was damn helpful. SOK LING :) kudos to her! she helped me find a-needle-in-a-haystack pair n norman when he had to help me get a bigger pair.. wheee~ n i found out, i'm a comfy levis 26! whoopee~
the good thing abt levis is that it hugs u at the correct portions. i think i've got chunkier thighs, so quite a few pants from other shops are too tight on my thighs or too loose for my waist. geddit? heh so levis' cutting is rather good for me! anywayyy...
their changing room doors are awfully noisy! creEEAAaAaaakkKKkkk. bleh. enough of rantings.
so back to our delightful search for a good dinner.
norman's first thought was crepes. i cant remember the name of the restaurant, but it's at Raffles City's basement. just beside the escalator. then we went round and round the merry go round, and finally went to Purvis Street, to a little restaurant called "Little Miss Clarity". wait did i get the name right? anyway, it was supposed to serve french food, but somehow during the meal, i forgot it was french at all. hurhur.
i had a garlic bread-crumbed dory with sides of potatowedges n some cabbage thingamajig. he had a chicken B. basically chicken thigh stuffed with shitake mushrooms WITH the potatowedges and cabbage thingamajig. haha. woot!
we also had a side appetiser of 1/2 dozen baked breadcrumbed scallops that were served on a plate of rock salt. beoootiful~~
the surprise during the meal was the kopi and teh that came at the end with the mango sorbet as our dessert.
POWER man!! haha. the coffee was my kinda coffee. not acidic and kinda err.. smoky? the teh tasted like it came from yakun / killiney.. which helped my over-bloated tummy :)
oh. better book before for reservations, unless u've got time to wait :P
so after the delish meal, we went for a little walk to digest the food.. before heading down someplace for drinks.
so we walked from purvis st, past the supreme court *urgh* to clarke quay with the horrible umbrellas and hair steamers meant for giants. norman was undecided on where to go ( with the exception of Clinic, but it had irritating lian-ish promoters), so we walked to...
Mohammad Sultan. whew! he wanted to bring me to some whine place. oops. i meant wine. hyuk~ but it was C.L.O.S.E.D.
by then yours truly lao niang was already hot and sticky from the humid air and exercise that i was getting rather fed up. (X_X)""""
so. BACK to riverside place. or what's it called again?! where brewerkz was settled.
and boy were our beers good!
mine was the lightest beer. (can't quite stand beer actually. i think even heineken is quite.. unpalatable :S)
he chose some emm.. india pale ale. and i must admit, the beers were good! :D
the best part was that there wasnt any ciggie smoke ard and i could BREATHE..
got a bit high haha yes, i'm a lousy drinker and started being more chirpy than normal.
i think norman likes me like that. -_-"
anyway, we're gg to try archipelgo next.. and they've got a really funky concoction of coffee and chocolate and beer! hmmmm. think this is only for the strongest tastebuds. not me. :X
hohum.. so tt wraps up the day with the man~
on a side note...
goodness. i dont react very well with generosity. which according to N, is bad for now, but good for marriage. aiyoh. dot dot dot. but many thanks and hugs to Norman for such a lovely evening :) wheeeeeeee
pictures later!~
