i am angry >:(
wanted to visit the eco-luxe fair at raffles city and possibly get something from makisquarepatch or demano, but GRRR!! it was all barricaded!
that's because the dumb runway show was gg to happen and all the lovely stalls would be barred from the public till 2 hours later!!! and all the fashion show guests were entitled to paw their grubby hands over the lovely merchandise while the public could only just stare. KNS.
and i obviously didnt have time to spare!! waste my time going all the way down to raffles city.
stupid elitist bitches. grrr. stupid raffles city logistics.
and all i could do was look at the items off from the escalator while it was going up.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
i am so angry.
i wouldnt have minded getting something from demano. seriously.
i shall have to make a trip down to the distributor at katong instead. when i am free. -_-""
damn angry.
RARR.
:)
even though it was just on lunch / dinner / him doing work in my studio
treated him to eusoff hall's jap food because i was so difficult the night before from a bad crit.
while we complained about the punification of the saba fish.. it was at least better than that at the techno edge..
so he went to studio to finish up his essay while i waited for bobby to bebrief us..
later we went to vivo for dinner.. and we popped by the supermart for cheap swordfish sashimi since it was near closing time, and got chuka hotate as well.. the wasabe was superb with a tinge of sweetness :)
i had chicken bibimbab that had crispy rice cos it was cooked in a hot 'stone' pot.. while he had porkrib watercress soup.. and he shared the massive bibimbab with me too. :)
next up at 915pm was a trip down to cedele for his favourite carrot walnut cake, while i had the chocolate truffle version :)
delish~ and we talked about how lucky the employees were to be able to tapau the remant pastries etc that weren't sold for the day, that would otherwise be thrown away..
and the jobs that we would take after retirement. he was optimistic about employment as a cashier / baker / anything nice, while i kept thinking that old people = cleaners. -_-"""
so anyway.. snap back to reality, and i've got to think about how to design an interesting project with the deadline looming ahead....
in 15 days.
prayers and help needed. pronto.

silly things and whatnots.
anyway.. the shopping bug has bitten me everywhere now. covered in humongous rashes.
haha. maybe that's a bit too exaggerated..
anyhow, it's true.. sigh.
tempted by sooo many things online.. from silly things such as black leggings - with a strap hugging your foot at the arch - commonly used in aerobics in the 80s.. to silly melissa look-alike shoes.. to heading down to novo at marina square and looking at the real melissa stuff and get the cute but ridiculous bag. hahaha here's a pic of it anyway..
saw it eons ago at novo well it's probably sold out by now. haha.. hon has it btw.. *miao*
anyway to continue... to dreaming of silly necklaces that i do not need that are rather expensive as well.. to the silly basket bag from lim's arts and living, to errr to errr.. a dress which i do not need from makisquarepatch.. to err.. i dunno. haiiiiiii.. once school ends, i'm gg to SELL ALL the things i dont need and at least ease my guilt. :P
on another note.. i finally finished my draft dissertation proposal and emailed lilian already.. i PRAY she really accepts me!! then it'll be a heavy burden off my shoulders.. did so many strange things like munching on a bag of seaweed crackers for breakfast, having TWO ferrero rochers and wearing my minnie mouse ears while trying to do the dissertation -_-""" sigh.. the things i do when i'm stressed..
well.. updates till later..

boohoo
i miss my moomoo..
boohoo boohoohoo.
haha.. my own self-improvised haiku.

past 2 nights in hostel were NASTY. got woken up by abominable noise that lasted till 5am or so.
had to cry myself to sleep on the second one.
when i get stressed and tired.. well that happens.
so i'm back in my home sweet home.. *SILENCE* is what i crave. hurhur..
spent the day stressing over my dissertation proposal since the first one got rejected ( i PRAY i'll get the tutor i want).. but nothing much has been done.. ho hum~ so many thoughts swimming in my head~
but luckily i've got mien and joot to help me sort things out and look at things at a different perspective :)
jogged with miendeedoobah again.. hehe took a different route this time round.. and we decided to check out the new UCC. hurhur so embarrassing with our jogging attire and all :P
yay!!! i is getting fitter and fitterer!!
i think i'd better stop this new fangled vocab of mine.. which includes siandeded ( sian-ded-ded) as well..
better get back to work.. or i'll start stressing that i'm not doing work. but not much work ever gets done anyway. sighhh. till later

what's your brain type?
Angles
This task tested your ability to identify the angle of a line by matching it with its twin. This is a spatial task, which looks at how you picture space.
Your score: 18 out of 20
Average score for men: 15.1 out of 20
Average score for women: 13.3 out of 20
What does your result suggest?
If you scored 0 - 12: You have more of a female brain. Scientists believe that people with a female brain find it more difficult to judge the slope of a line because they're not wired for spatial tasks. In past studies, 65 per cent of people who scored in this range were women.
If you scored 13 - 17: You found this test neither hard nor easy. This suggests your brain has male and female traits when it comes to spatial ability.
If you scored 18 - 20: You have more of a male brain. On average, men outperform women in this task and those with more mathematical knowledge tend to score quite high as well. In past studies, 60 per cent of the people in this range were men.
Interestingly, men's testosterone levels fluctuate through the seasons and studies have shown that men's scores are lower in the spring, when their testosterone levels are at their lowest.
Spot the difference
This task tested your ability to identify which objects changed position. You lost points, if you incorrectly identified objects.
Your score: 43%
Average score for men: 39%
Average score for women: 46%
What does your score suggest?
If you scored between 0 - 33%: You may have more of a male brain. Scientists say men tend to under perform in this task. The corpus callosum, the part of the brain that links the right and left hemispheres, is a fifth larger in women. This means women can process visual and other signals at the same time more easily than men. There is also a theory that oestrogen levels in women give them an added advantage in spatial memory.
If you scored between 34 - 66%: You may have a balanced female-male brain.
If you scored between 67 - 100%: Those with a female-type brain generally score in this range. Your ability to remember where objects are may serve as an advantage to you when you're trying to find your way around places. You're more capable of recalling landmarks to get from one place to another.
Hands
You said your left thumb was on top when you clasped your hands together.
Right thumb on top: This suggests the left half of your brain is dominant. Many studies have tried to establish whether there is a relationship between handedness and brain dominance. Some scientists believe that if you are left brain dominant, you would be more verbal and analytical.
Left thumb on top: This suggests the right half of your brain is dominant. Some studies theorise that as a right brain dominant person, you may excel in visual, spatial and intuitive processes.
However, these theories are debatable and leave much to be said about the small percentage of people who are ambidextrous.
Emotions and Systems
This task looked at whether you prefer to empathise or systemise.
Your empathy score is: 15 out of 20
Average score for men: 7.9 out of 20
Average score for women: 10.6 out of 20
What does your result suggest?Empathisers are better at accurately judging other people's emotions and responding appropriately. If you scored 15 and above, you are very empathic and would be an ideal person to comfort people in a time of crisis. Women in general are better at empathising.
Your systemising score is: 8 out of 20
Average score for men: 12.5 out of 20
Average score for women: 8.0 out of 20
What does your result suggest?
Systemisers prefer to investigate how systems work. A system can be a road map, flat pack furniture, or a mathematical equation – anything that follows a set of rules. A score of 15 and above suggests you're good at analysing or building systems. Men in general are better at systemising.
Scientists are keen to learn more about people who score high or low on both tests. They want to find out whether or not empathising and systemising are linked. Is a possible to make yourself more empathic?
Eyes
This task tested your ability to judge people's emotions.
Your score: 8 out of 10
Average score for men: 6.6 out of 10
Average score for women: 6.6 out of 10
What does your result suggest?
If you scored 0 - 3: Do you think you're good at judging how another person is feeling? Your score suggests this doesn't come to you quite so naturally.
If you scored 4 - 6: Your result suggests you have a balanced female-male brain and find it neither easy nor difficult to judge people's emotions.
If you scored 7 - 10: Your result suggests you are a good empathiser, sensitive to other people's emotions. Women generally fall into this category.
Professor Baron-Cohen at the University of Cambridge says that people usually perform better than they expect to on this test.
Men often think a person's eyes are sending signals of desire when that's not the case at all.
Fingers
We asked you to measure your ring and index fingers. Your ratios came to:
Right Hand: 0.96
Left Hand: 0.97
Average ratio for men: 0.982
Average ratio for women: 0.991
It's thought that your ratio is governed by the amount of testosterone you were exposed to in your mother's womb. The ratio of the length of your index finger to the length of your ring finger is set for life by as early as three months after conception. Even during puberty, when we experience intensive hormonal changes, the ratio stays the same.
Men generally have a ring finger that is longer than their index finger, which gives them a lower ratio than women, whose ring and index fingers are usually of equal length.
Studies have found that men and women with lots of brothers generally have more masculine finger ratios.
Faces
This task looked at how you rate the attractiveness of a series of faces. The images you looked at were digitally altered to create slight differences in masculinity.
Your choices suggest you prefer more masculine faces.
Highly masculinised male faces possess more extreme testosterone markers such as a long, broad and lower jaw, as well as more pronounced brow ridges and cheekbones.
Interestingly, women's preferences are said to vary across the menstrual phase. A more masculine face is preferred during the 9 days prior to ovulation, when conception is most likely. (errr i just ended my period.. does this indicate anything?!!? or heheh does that imply why i'm with mr teo?? :P)
A typical 'attractive' female face possesses features such as a shorter, narrower, lower jaw, fuller lips and larger eyes than an average face.
3D shapes
This task tested your ability to mentally rotate 3D shapes.
Your score: 11 out of 12
Average score for men: 8.2 out of 12
Average score for women: 7.1 out of 12
What does your result suggest?
If you scored 0 - 6: Do you find yourself having to physically rotate a map to point in the direction in which you're travelling? This might explain why you scored in the lower range in the 3D shapes test. Twice as many women as men score in this category. Previous studies suggest that those with a female-type brain or with an arts background fall into this range.
If you scored 7 - 9: In past studies, 50 per cent of the people who scored in this range were women and 50 per cent were men.
If you scored 10 - 12: Are you an engineer or do you have a science background? People with these skills tend to score in this range. Past studies have concluded that people in this range have a more male brain. ( no lei.. i'm not a science person.. but i AM an akitorture student!!)
Words
This task looked at your verbal fluency.
Your score: you associated
13 word(s) with grey and you named
7 word(s) that mean happy.
We are assuming that all the words you entered are correct.
Average score for men: 11.4 words totalAverage score for women: 12.4 words total
What does your result suggest?
If you produced 1 - 5 words: You are more of the strong, silent type with a male brain. You probably find it easier to express yourself in non-verbal ways, preferring action rather than words.
If you produced 6 - 10 words: Most people in this range have a female-type brain.
Women are said to use both sides of the brain when doing verbal tasks while men mainly use their left side. Studies have shown that girls develop vocabulary faster than boys. This difference in brain power is caused by levels of pre-natal testosterone.
Ultimatum
This task asked you how you would divide money.
If you had to split £50 with someone, you said you would demand £25
So far on the Sex ID test, men have demanded 51.6% (£25.80) of the pot and women have demanded 51.0% (£25.50), on average.
What does your response suggest?
Sex differences are small in this task. Demanding less than 60% of the pot (ie £30) is more typically female. Demanding more than 65% of the pot (ie £32.50) is more typically male.
Scientists believe that people with lower testosterone levels tend to take fewer risks so they are probably more willing to keep less for themselves. Those with higher testosterone levels tend to drive a harder bargain and are less compromising.
Men's testosterone levels fluctuate over the seasons and are at their lowest levels during the springtime. This is said to influence their bargaining power.
tralalla.. so the results have shown that i've got both a male and female brain!!
but the final results showed that i was 35-40% on the male side :S
0% meaning an equal male-female brain. aiyohhh
is that why i am so chor lor?? but heehee.. i is a GREAT empathiser *smug*
back to design!!! oh oh!! the link is here~~

just thinking about studio is tiring.
watched a bit of the news today..
it was pretty funny even though it was about politics..
rather, i concentrated on their parlimentary accents, a particular speaker's shiny waxed head, another's stacattoed sing-song voice~ and the bored faces of those sitting in the background (-___-)
am i gg to get into trouble for this??!?! 0_o"""
i have ENOUGH of verbal diarrhea. i need mufflers for tmr.
yuk. i hope all goes well!!!
boo studio is so tiring..
happiness comes in small packages.. :)

stupid people are not worth talking to.
first - they never read instructions and terms and conditions properly. zzz.and keep asking stupid questions to which answers have already been stated.
second - it's so hard to arrange meetups and they're damn bloody kiam to pay additional for postage. liddat how?!
third - not only kiam with postage. they haggle as if i'm running a charity. heLLLO!?!?
fourth - when u arrange meetups, how can u bloody hell forget to bring the money!!! grr.
i am so tempted to grate someone's skin with a cheese grater.
wait.
eeks. that's a gross thought.
haiyahhh. kns. i very angry. grrrr. roarrrr.
weird dream pt.1
so anyway thought i might post some of my dreams. mebbe someone can figure it out for me!!
ok. the story goes like this....
mr teo is having a sleepover at my place (what's new) and we were sleeping outside in the living room on mattresses. then somehow my sister (sasa) appears to be sleeping near us and she takes the form of a 10 year old, with her 2-year-old haircut. hurhur.
she SCREAMS "i want my bed, i want my bed!!!!" X10000 times
i got up, feeling extremely annoyed and irritated, told her "just go to your room then! what's the big fuss????!!!"
ok so she went.
next scene, i wake up from my bedroom, to see my paternal relatives there. includes my grandma, and my uncle's sunny family + joni (another cousin). ok yadayada.. we had some family time and i went to the kitchen and somehow had 2 maids and a weasel as a pet. it was a new one and mummy thought it might be fierce so better not get near it.
so i wanted to feed it some food and apparantly it drank green tea. so one of the maids dug the fridge frantically, and mistook the green tea for kaya and miscellaneous green things in the fridge (everything in the fridge was green and in some jar or glass of some form!!)
and tadahhh there the green tea was in a champagne glass. so anyway my grandma took the glass and somehow errr we went outside (to the living room) with the weasel.
it was a damn big weasel mind u. like the size of err. well lets just say it reached my shoulder.
so anyhow... as we ventured to the living area.. it suddenly transformed to a Chinese palace-like thing, complete with courtiers and whatever nots. and my family became the royals, and of course i was the princess! haha but i never knew how i looked like, cos the dream was pictured from my vision / eyes. so anyhow, there was was, somewhat walking after the silly pet, and here's the scary bit.
the royals were seated along this rectangular table, and i immediately saw this queen (dunno why it's not my mum, and the king wasnt my dad. but somehow they were family). anyway back to the queen, her face was plastered with gold paint! like damn gold paint! and she was looking at me. anyhow, the dua pai person that i am, slowly walked past the table. the rest of the pple were having too much of a good time to even notice me.
the king was standing up, toasting to everyone. he too, had a gold face. his face was rather comic-like and had a huge ass smile.
then someone else was sitting with his arms on the table, face up, with a monk massaging the gold paint / ink into his hands. and he was getting a high out of it. 0_o""" weird eh.
and someone else's head ( she poked her head thru the table) was in some radiation box thing.. her face was gold too, and her brother was helping her / watching her lah. and yah, she's still alive.
the final one was that u know those optical illusions at science centre? where somehow ur head appears to be on a platter?? anyhow yah, this girl had a gold face again, with her hands sticking out thru the table as well. gold hands too. with food all around her.
pretty freaky eh!?! and i was wondering "what the hell are these pple up to??"
and i was worrying about the maids as well, since they were the lowliest pple in the palace, they couldnt just venture everywhere.
and i thought "this gold paint is poisonous!! no wonder one of them was high (or something. dreams dont have logic)"not only that, the whole scene looked rather cult-like. like something weird is gg on that i'd rather not be part of. whew!!
*note: poisonous is because i remember seeing a documentary where a bond girl was painted in gold shit for a poster. the bond girl was for the mive in waaaay back in the 50s or 60s.so anyhow she was commenting that she felt so uncomfortable and that they had medics at the standby.*
so then i woke up.
so anti-climax eh. but thennnn. as i woke up, then i realised there were the "music" of large drums playing in the background throughout the palace scene. they were of course low pitch, the whole music was low pitch, and the way it was played was that it produced a menacing and scary atmosphere. eeks!!!
i can't forget the damn gold faces. esp the queen when her face resembled the buddha!!!
what a weird dream man.......... i must be too stressed. haiyoh.
